Sterling’s Wife Ryan to Guest Star on “Army Wives”

Sterling is back filming season 6 of Army Wives and it looks like his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathe, will be joining him!

TV Line shares these new additions exclusively.

Army Wives continues to bolster its ranks ahead of its sixth season.

A day after we broke the news that Susan Lucci and Kelli Williams were enlisting for multi-episode arcs, sources confirm that ER‘s Kellie Martin, Rescue Me‘s Robert John Burke and Boston Legal‘s Ryan Michelle Bathe are also joining the Lifetime drama in recurring roles.

Martin will play Nicole, a member of the military police, while Bathe — who in real life is married to Army Wives doc Sterling K. Brown — will portray the head of the Youth Center. Lastly, Burke (a.k.a. Gossip Girl‘s Bart Bass) will appear in seven episodes as an ultra-competitive general and the husband of Williams’ character, Jackie.

Army Wives‘ sixth season is slated to premiere in the spring.

Our Idiot Brother Review

Get More:

The new film Our Idiot Brother hit theaters yesterday and having seen it at a screening, we have two words for you: Paul Rudd. Paul Rudd. Paul Rudd. However, our bud Rudd is only one of many cute parts in the endearing, if slightly sappy, comedy, so without further ado here are 10 idiotically cute things about Our Idiot Brother…

1. Did we mention Paul Rudd? Seriously though, Rudd’s main character Ned is the reason to see this movie. As lovable stoner Ned, Paul manages to shuffle the fine line between sweet and saccharine. His beard is also like an adorable attached to his face

2. Willie Nelson: Not the affable braid-wearing singer, but a darling Golden Retriever that is Ned’s best friend and probably his intellectual equal, at least according to everyone else in the movie, like….

3. Zooey Deschanel: Zooey D. is all giant eyes and Peter Pan collars in this movie, just how we like her. Deschanel also combines gooey with sardonic to make her comedian character likable enough that we can almost forgive her for nearly shattering Rashida Jones’ heart. Almost.

4. Rashida Jones: Woefully underused as Zooey’s stable lawyer girlfriend, Rashida manages to look competent and in control when wearing your dad’s glasses from 1986, in addition to make an excellent partner to Deschanel’s flighty stand-up. This couple should get their own spin-off movie…today.

5. The Win Tent: We don’t want to ruin anything, but let’s just say that there is a subplot involving what appears to be a cult that makes use of a sweat lodge. The image of an over-heated Paul Rudd begging for someone to dump water on his crotch will stay in our minds, and hearts, forever.

6. Sterling K. Brown: Did we mention Ned gets arrested for selling pot to a uniformed police officer, thus forcing him to crash on his sisters’ couches? Ned’s parole officer Omar (Sterling), and the lovingly condescending way he talks to Ned the first time they meet, stands out as probably the best single scene in the film.

7. Kathryn Hahn: As Ned’s hostile ex Janet, Hahn kills it as a Dixie Chicks-loving pacifist who you could also imagine crush a man’s heart in her hand.

8. T.J. Miller: As Janet’s new man Billy, T.J. Miller as goofy and lovable as Ned, only more bumbling and bear-like. In one scene, Billy starts to trip and almost falls while exiting an argument. We don’t know if it was intentional, but that moment alone is worth renting on Netflix, at least.

9. Charades: Who knew that a friendly family game would sent off an emotional melt-down that almost rips the family apart? Oh, just about anyone who’s ever played charades with their family.

10. Paul Rudd: We did mention Paul Rudd, didn’t we? And his beard? Sweet.
